OCTE Student Contest – Help OCTE Promote Its Resources and Win!

Secondary and Grade 7 & 8 Elementary Students – Listen Up!

On behalf of the OCTE Curriculum, Health & Safety and Professional Development committees, we want you to help promote our teacher resources!

Submit a poster and/or a 30-second video to promote OCTE resources on our website!

We need your help to get the word out about all the amazing resources available to technological educators across the province. What better way to do so by having a contest to show off the communication technology skills you have learned and your technology learning!

What do you need to do?

Check out the resources available to all technological teachers across the province on the octe.ca website and create a poster and/or a 30-second video that promotes the resources.

Get the word out by using your technological skills! Use the tagline; ‘Hey, have you heard about the OCTE website?’ Use your imagination, have fun, be positive & professional!

Your entry is limited to one submission per student. The deadline for submissions is noon, Friday December 16th, 2016. All submissions will become the property of OCTE and may be posted on the website. Make sure that you get OCTE Media Release forms for all appearances and use original artwork only, or copyright-free images as well as crediting royalty-free music appropriately. An example of a good website to get music from is incompetech.com and follow the instructions for providing appropriate credits.

You can win the following prizes!

  • 2nd place $300
  • 3rd place $100

PLEASE SEND ALL SUBMISSIONS TO octebestpractices@gmail.com by Friday December 16th, 2016 to be eligible for the contest prizes with a copy of all appearance release forms attached. Students under 18 must have the form additionally signed by parents for release.
